Brighton is only 30 minutes by train from London Gatwick airport. London itself is only 55 minutes by train.
The Corn Exchange is a short walk from the train station (about 10 minutes) and it’s nice and close to the seafront too.

As well as the highly recommended Street Diner food market in Brighthelm Gardens (just of Church Street), there are lots of delis, cafés and familiar names nearby where you can grab a bite during the lunch break (which lasts for an hour and a half so you’ll have plenty of time).
